Motivated Mommies- It's More Then Just a Recource Website

Hello Motivated Mommies, Thanks so stopping by to read my latest post. :o)

So, A lot has been happening here at Motivated Mommies, I am in the process of branding my company and instead of helping a small community of Mom's, I've actually been connecting with Mom's across the globe- Which when you think about it, is pretty Amazing! My little vision has that I had over 12 years ago turned into something that took me a few more years to understand myself!

I started this company a little backwards! First came the concept, then the name and then the Idea for the website! It was supposed to be a Reputable Resource site that Mom's just like you and me could get information on obtaining an income, weather it be at home or finding a flexible job that you could do while raising your children. Then came the education part of it, I've always wished that I had a degree, so after completing a "Correspondence Course" (at home) and getting certified as a Real Estate Appraiser. I started doing more research and found out about Online Universities, So I knew that I wanted to offer information on that as well.

It wasn't until I started looking at other sites out there and comparing them to mine, that I knew I had to take it up a notch. Mom's were visiting my site, but leaving shortly after getting what they needed. So, I started attending some networking events, that was one of the best things that I could have ever done! Attending Tory Johnson's Spark & Hustle change my life! The people that I met, the stories that I heard. I mean, you could really feel the depth of the passion that these women had for their business, products and or services. It took me less then 5 minutes to know that I was in the right place! My only regret was not attending a long time ago...

That is when I had my Aha Moment! I always thought that I'd like to Brand my business someday. But I had no idea how or if it was even possible to do so! Since Spark & Hustle, I've done a lot of thinking, planning, researching and most of all Soul Searching!

I've finally realized that I can do and be so much more then a Mom who runs a "Mom Based resource website". I finally figured out how I can help Mom's just like me to take their Passion and turn it into a business or help them realize that it is possible to produce a product worth bringing to market!

I want to help Mom's take their passion to the next level, By making it a reality!

Living My Dream By Facing My Fears....

Hey Ya'll! What an amazing day it is today! As I sit here reflecting back on a day that I will never forget. The day that I made another one of my dreams come true. Made possible by not giving into my fear of failure!

I have been working on developing a few products, for what seems like forever! I came up with an idea, particularly to fulfill a need, one that could possibly save a life! One that I felt was a great idea!

One thing that I've learned in the last 5 to 7 years is,( a major factor when it comes to inventing) What you think is the greatest idea ever, may not seem like a great idea to somebody else. Which is what scared me! I've been learning a lot from all the books that I've read, websites that I have come across and blog posts that I have been following.

But ultimately it came down to meeting two amazing ladies Alma and Susanna! These two Motivated Mommies had the courage to take that extra step that I've been terrified of taking. They had an idea that they believed was amazing, they faced their fears and made their dreams a reality. Alma Moussa Is the creator of The Babee Covee, a 6 in 1 multi purpose baby blanket and cover. Susanna Lee is the creator of The Aqueduck, a Faucet Extender that brings the water to your child. As well as the Handle extender that enables your child to turn the faucet on and off. Their awesome creations won them $15,000 to help towards bringing their product to market, by being named one of The Huggies Mom Inspired Grant Winners!

I'd like to say that I've known these brilliant women for a long time, but the fact is I met them once just a few months ago, and that's all it took for me to see, that I was not alone in my passion to create amazing products. I mean, I always knew that there were women out there that had the same dreams as I did, and women that were actually doing the things that I've always wanted to do. But to see it first hand right in front of me, It became more real to me. I knew at that moment that my dreams were within my reach, I just had to stay Motivated, face my fears and push through my fear of failure!

I am happy, excited and proud to say that I finally made it a reality and submitted my product to the 2013 Huggies Mom Inspired Grant Program. As exciting and life changing as it would be to win and be named by an amazing company like Huggies. I am not afraid of what will happen if I don't win. It has been such a positive experience all the way around. I have learned so much these last few months through the process and from my new found friends Alma and Susanna.

They have given me the Motivation that I need to not only submit my ideas, but to believe in myself and continue to work on the process of bringing the product that I submitted to market as well as the others that I've been working on as well, no matter what happens!

If I do happen to win and be named a 2013 Huggies Mom Inspired Grant winner It will open up some Huge Doors for me and Motivated Mommies! I will not only be working on bringing my product to market, but I will also be working on changing the lives of Mom's all over the globe by helping as many Mom's as I can, so that they too can fulfill their dreams, have faith in themselves and bring their creations to life! Making Some Changes to Stay Connected

Wow! How fast time flies. It has been forever since I've posted on here, I do apologize for neglecting my blog. I have never been one for blogging in the past. The funny thing is, I love to write and I love to talk. I guess I didn't realize that, that is what blogging is all about! lol So, I am in the process of making some changes to the Motivated Mommies site. Starting with revamping my website to offer more useful resources to you all. I will also be working on building a platform for a Motivated Mommy Community. So that we can all help each other out! There are also a few other really exciting projects that I am currently working on, that I cannot wait to share with you all! As of today, I will be posting on a regular basis. A few weeks ago I posted a question on my Motivated Mommies Facebook page. I asked the question,"How do you define success?" Is it by your financial status,Career, education, family life, owning your own business? The reason I asked that question is because I believe that when I set out to launch my website all I wanted to do is offer reputable resources to my fellow moms.

After launching and speaking with others about the site, I feel like I kind of lost my way. I found myself trying to compete with other mom like sites. I felt that I wouldn't be successful unless I was offering the same things as other sites were and making a decent living doing it. I finally realized that even though others are making money with their website and have a lot of visitors/followers. I remembered the reason I created Motivated Mommies in the first place.

I wanted to be different and it's not all about the money, it's about helping mom's that may be experiencing the same issue's that I was and still am being faced with my in my career, my education and creating my business. The whole idea is to offer information on places that you can trust, and motivating you to do whatever it is that you want to achieve to help you & your family to a better future. That is what Motivated Mommies is all about!

I whole heartedly feel very successful. For the reason that I've been happily married to my best friend for 19 years. We have two beautiful healthy children. We worked really hard to buy our first home and I have my own business helping moms all over the country! For me, no amount of money could compare.

I am making a vow to myself and also to you my fellow "Motivated Mommies"- No matter what site I visit or opinions that I receive. I will continue to make improvements to the site with the sole intent to help all of us with the motivation to succeed!

Finding Time to do it all

Wow! I am so excited that I have actually made one of my dreams come true! It's not everyday that you hear somebody say those words :) I have been working really hard to make the Motivated Mommies website a reality. Now I just need to find time to do it all! lol

I am motivated to keep going! I'm lucky to have support from my husband and my kids. I am celebrating my 18yr anniversary today. Thanks Vince for sticking by me all these years while I had thoughts and dreams of helping other moms out there just like me....
